Hi, my name is Kristin Weingartner and I have a 3. 5 year old son who has congenital glaucoma.

He was born with this eye disease and has had to have multiple surgeries to control eye pressure.

      He also has been on

a wide array of eye drops over the past 3 years, one of which he is currently one to help control eye pressure.

This eye drop is called Cosopt.

As I said earlier, my son has been on plenty of drops in the past, many of which would make his eyes burn, cause eye irritation, along with other side effects like nasal congestion, coughing and red eye lids.

Cosopt has been one of the very few eye drops that he can tolerate.

      It ...

does cause some nasal congestion but that is about it.

This eye drop stops or slows the production of fluid in the eye which in turn puts eye pressure within normal limits.

This eye drop has worked well for my son

and sometimes he likes to try to put the drop in on his own.

He is a strong little boy who has been through a lot in just a few short years of life.

This is my experience with the eye drop cosopt.
