I've been trying to find a perfect plant-based milk for my coffee for the last few months or so, but I couldn't find the one that would froth well and taste good at the same time.
However, I've always known that soymilk frothes well, but it tasted disgusting when I tried to make a latte with it myself. After trying almost every other plant-based milk out there, I decided to give the soy milk another try.

I picked this milk at Randall's. I decided to buy the milk for testing in quarts, just in case it's bad. This Randall's Organics brand seems to be rather good and I just felt like taking the organic milk this time, we all know the deal with soy. I also decided to take the vanilla-flavoured one that is also sweetened, which I never really do, but this one I bought specifically for the coffee.

The macros for the milk look pretty good. It's low in saturated fat and not that high in sugar. Soy milk is also pretty high in protein and it's actually the only plant-based milk that is so similar to the cow milk (macros-wise). It can also make quite thick yogurt, just like the regular yogurt.

The ingredients also look pretty good. It's sweetened with the cane sugar and half of ingredients are the added vitamins, which, for some reason, all the vegan milks from the store have.

It looks a little more yellow than the regular milk and it smells really nice, almost like a vanilla milkshake. It doesn't taste that bad too. Actually, it doesn't taste bad at all. At first it tastes like the regular vanilla milk, but then you get that weird aftertaste. I guess you can get used to it. And you probably won't taste the soy if you use this in a cereal or a smoothie.
And here comes the bummer: this milk doesn't froth. At all. I don't know why and how that is even possible, but I guess it depends on the way soy has been processed. I mean, this milk still tasted fine in coffee, but that's not what I bought it for.

I'm giving this milk 7 put of 10 since it tastes decent, but it doesn't fulfill its purpose of completely replacing milk. I'm still gonna use it and I do totally recommend it if you like the soymilk, this one is probably the best I've tried so far, but I think there are better ones out there that also froth.
