Thanksgiving is just around the corner which means home decorations are about to marked down, and with Black Friday in a couple of days I will definitely be able to save a lot of money in one of my favorite home decor stores, Pier 1 Imports.

The Pier 1 Imports store in my city is located in the busy Butler Plaza shopping center, and I do mean busy. The store is quite small compared to some of the other Pier 1 locations I have been to, but they still have nice home decorations and kitchen products to choose from.

The sales associates are very polite and welcoming; before I could get my foot in the door good enough they were welcoming in and asked if I needed any assistance. The home decor they offer is really beautiful and there is something for every season, budget and taste level.

My only problem with the store is that it is too small. Everything is pretty much stacked up on top of each other which give the store a real cluttered feeling. I was scared to touch anything stacked for the fear that it would have fall over and break, and I personally do not have a thousand dollars or more to be just giving away for free. Because of the clutter the aisles are very small and narrow, and that day I went in there I was glad I did not carry one of my larger tote handbags. It is a tight squeeze and makes it very uncomfortable to shop for the fear of possibly breaking something.

I like shopping at Pier 1 Imports because I always find special pieces to put in my home that looks expensive, but is very affordable. For example, I found a mirror dresser which I absolutely fell in love with. It was one of those pieces that have to be either on display when you first walk into your home or in a bathroom as part of a boudoir setup. I placed it in my room where I have dedicated to doing my makeup--it is very Marilyn Monroe.
Because it is so close to Christmas, I found a lot of ornaments and Christmas themed decor in terms of Christmas trees, statues, cups, plates, serving trays, etc.
For great kitchen ware, Pier 1 Imports is the best if you are someone like me who loves to decorate the table for just about any reason including the holidays. The dinning and entertaining ware is one of the best because it covers a wide range of designs, colors, seasons, and holidays. The sales associates are also great with helping with design ideas for table settings. I found some Santa Claus mugs and serving trays that I scooped up because they were too cute and I knew they would not be there if I returned on another day to buy them.

If you are in the Gainesville, FL area I would recommend you stopping by the Pier 1 Imports store in the Butler Plaza shopping center. It sits on a corner which makes it easy to find, and the store does have its cons such as small walking space and everything stacked on top of each other. However, the pros outweigh the cons because there are a lot of unique decorations, furniture, dinning and entertaining ware that can be found for next to nothing. Because it is the holidays a good deal is just lurking around the corner if you know when to shop the store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to home decor which is something to take advantage of it you are new to decorating a home. All the pieces in the store are really special and beautiful, and I guarantee whatever you choose to buy will make your house feel like home.
