Hi there! So today, I will be giving you another review about a movie entitled The Stag (or Bachelor's Weekend). So a quick intro for this movie is that one of its cast is Andrew Scott. Anyone there a Scotty? Well, I sure am! So that's why I decided to give this movie my honest review so let's start!

Let's first talk about the initial thoughts of an average human on this. Well, for me, I thought this movie would show a lot of girls. Stag party's like that, right? But anyway, they did not conform to the norm. I should probably say the movie is quite interesting without showing naked girls (but I wasn't warned there would be naked butts of the lead male characters).

Anyway, moving on from our impression. Let's talk about the characters and the actors. I am so glad they chose Andrew Scott as Gavin the best man of the groom. I am a fan of him since BBC's Sherlock got him as Moriarty so I really like to see him in more movies. Of course, he did very well in The Stag for me but I really still see him as Moriarty which is a kind of a creepy man. Some looks from Gavin are just like Moriarty's so I don't know if this is a good point or a bad point. Maybe bad because he can't separate his roles? Or maybe it's just my own imagination. But then, I love how he broke my heart when I knew he loves the groom's bride. I literally cried when he cried near the tree and also when he sang a heart-breaking song in front of a bonfire. His acting here, for me, is superb.

I am sorry to say that I may be biased but I don't know much of the other actors so I can't say much about them but I read about Peter McDonald who played the role of the unpredictable The Machine. He is also the writer of this movie. This movie was really a feel good movie and I love it so I commend him for acting excellently and writing this movie good.

Let's go to the storyline. Well, the story itself is heart-warming. I love the fact that this movie will not only gonna make you laugh but also contemplate life. Like for example, The Machine's problem with his family. If he didn't learn to eat his pride, maybe he would have never gotten well with his family again. And also the thing about acceptance which is relayed to us by the two Kevins and the groom's dad. You can learn so much from this movie without you even noticing it.
Let's just tackle some points here. I really love the twist that Gavin (best man) is the Bun that dated Ruth (bride). He was still in love with her after all these years but he chose to let go of her for his bestfriend (groom). Like, yeah, because in love, we do stupid things like making others happy by hurting ourselves. Maybe I'm getting too emotional here? Hahaha. Anyway, another thing is that I love how the actors are so professional they agreed to be naked in this movie. When you watch, you will see butts of 6 different men so that's a treat. Just kidding! Haha.

So for my conclusion, I would say that this movie is a feel good movie. I would recommend this to anybody having hard times to contemplate life or just have a good hearty laugh. The movie isn't close to perfection but this would make you feel better. I would just like to warn children not to watch this for it has nudity and many cursing. So what do you think? Have you watched this? Let me know and comment below your opinions and suggestions. Thank you!
