  • Sure, for those that truly love pumpkin, there are a few pumpkin foods and flavored foods that can be bought year round, like pumpkin pie, but it's the autumn season that brings out a amazing variety of pumpkin-flavored foods and admittedly, it can be kind of overwhelming because one could easily spend hundreds of dollars on all the various pumpkin-infused foods and drinks, and obviously, some are going to be better than others because that's just how it works
  • I believe if these cookies were naturally flavored, they'd taste better than they already do, but I understand that would result in a higher price tag, and that Nabisco would probably lose out on more sales as a result of that compared to the loss of sales due to the Oreos being artificially flavored
  • The artificial flavoring gets the job done and results in giving these cookies a pleasant, sweet aroma that I associate with pumpkin and when it comes to the taste of the cookies, I definitely get a pumpkin vibe from the decent amount of creme in the center
  • One twelve point two ounce package has somewhere between twenty and thirty cookies, I think, although I haven't actually counted a full package
  • Overall though, the Nabisco Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies is an autumn treat that I'd very highly recommend to lovers of both the Oreo cookie and pumpkin spice

When pumpkin-flavored foods first begin hitting the shelves as summer transitions into autumn, there is often a mad dash by a portion of the population to indulge in plenty of pumpkin-flavored goodness. Sure, for those that truly love pumpkin, there are a few pumpkin foods and flavored foods that can be bought year round, like pumpkin pie, but it’s the autumn season that brings out a amazing variety of pumpkin-flavored foods and admittedly, it can be kind of overwhelming because one could easily spend hundreds of dollars on all the various pumpkin-infused foods and drinks, and obviously, some are going to be better than others because that’s just how it works. Some companies are better than others at adding pumpkin or pumpkin spice to its products and the result is a real treat, as is the case with Nabisco Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies.

The words “artificially flavored” appear clearly on the front of the package and that alone might

be enough to dissuade some folks from spending over four dollars for the cookies. I understand why some people would pass on these for that reason; after all, it’s always better to have a product be naturally flavored. It tends to result in a better tasting product and it typically means less artificial flavors and colors, and that’s a little better for our bodies when we’re putting a little less of that stuff in them. I believe if these cookies were naturally flavored, they’d taste better than they already do, but I understand that would result in a higher price tag, and that Nabisco would probably lose out on more sales as a result of that compared to the loss of sales due to the Oreos being artificially flavored.

As I implied in the previous paragraph, these Oreo pumpkin spice cookies taste good. The artificial flavoring gets the job done and results in giving these cookies a pleasant, sweet aroma that I associate

with pumpkin and when it comes to the taste of the cookies, I definitely get a pumpkin vibe from the decent amount of creme in the center. Nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger all seem to be decently replicated flavors, and its almost like eating pumpkin pie in cookie form. That’s why I said that if these pumpkin spice Oreos taste as rich as they do with artificial ingredients standing in for the natural ingredients, I can’t imagine how good they would taste if the ingredients were all natural! Complimenting the pumpkin spice creme in the center are the two vanilla sandwich cookies that rest on the top and bottom of the creme filling. The vanilla goes really well with the pumpkin spice flavoring and it’s a real winning combination in my book.

I’m on my second package so far, having shared portions of the first and second package with friends and family. When dividing up the cookies, the package goes surprisingly fast! One twelve ...

point two ounce package has somewhere between twenty and thirty cookies, I think, although I haven’t actually counted a full package. I haven’t come across any issues of staleness or broken cookies yet, so that’s two definite pluses. It’s a very pleasant feeling to bite into a crunchy, fresh Oreo cookie that brings together pumpkin spice and vanilla! I like to eat my Oreo cookies whole, but I know plenty like to twist and pull them apart and lick the creme first. I haven’t tried that with these, but I imagine the pumpkin spice creme tastes just as good alone as it does when eaten with the rest of the cookie portion, although I personally prefer having the vanilla cookie portion and the pumpkin spice creme together when I’m enjoying one of these cookies!

Nabisco Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies are definitely worth checking out if you’re someone that likes Oreo cookies and also likes the taste of pumpkin. Yes, it’s

artificially flavored all the way around, but if that’s not an issue for you, then giving these a try may just result in finding a new favorite autumn treat! I won’t go as far as to say that these cookies are my absolute favorite pumpkin spice flavored food, but they’re definitely reasonably high on my list. I’m really glad Nabisco decided on using the vanilla sandwich cookies for these Oreos because I don’t think the usual chocolate ones would have worked as well. For me, personally, vanilla goes better with pumpkin than chocolate does, although I’m sure others feel differently and that’s why I think it would be cool if Nabisco released a chocolate version of this limited edition flavor. I wouldn’t be that interested in it, but I bet others would be. Overall though, the Nabisco Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Creme Oreo Sandwich Cookies is an autumn treat that I’d very highly recommend to lovers of both the Oreo cookie and pumpkin spice.
