  • This novel was amazing, I loved that it was narrated from two points of view, between Emma and Reid, because with these particular subjects it was really easy for me to understand each one this way, but I have to admit I enjoyed reading Emma's perspective better
  • Whenever I start reading a book, and there are more than one male after our heroine, I know from the beginning who is my favorite, the one that I'm going to stand by til the end
  • Frankly, I loved my love/hate relationship with him, and I think that was Webber's point, that we would love but also hate him, he just doesn't have any respect for anybody, which I hate, but I still love him xD Despite the story being very cliche, and with particular subjects that I'm not usually attracted to, this was very special because Webber didn't avoid things like drugs, alcohol and sex, like in other books with Hollywood or rock stars might happen
  • I just have to tell you to keep your mind open with this book, it might seemed like you know exactly what's gonna happened but it definitely surprises you

Between The Lines was Tammara Webber’s debut novel and the first that I read from her. And what a debut!

Between The Lines is about Emma, a girl whose dream is to be a big actress but also remain being a normal girl. After commercials and small things like that, she gets her big opportunity in a very important movie with the hot Reid Alexander, who is a total playboy used to get whatever he wants, and what he wants now is new little Emma. But several things would make his mission of getting her a little difficult, like ex-girlfriends and a little competition to win Emma’s heart.

This novel was amazing, I loved that it was narrated from two points of

view, between Emma and Reid, because with these particular subjects it was really easy for me to understand each one this way, but I have to admit I enjoyed reading Emma’s perspective better. When the camera stops rolling, Emma is a very shy girl, but who can get her claws out if needed, something very important in her line of work. Honestly, Emma is a very realistic character, I feel like I could see in her all the problems and issues most teenagers face. She has everything a female character needs to have. She’s tough and knows how to fight for herself, but she also has her insecurities and weaknesses, of course.

On the other side, there are two boys that

had me going back and forth: Reid and Graham. They’re both completely different, two polar opposites. Reid: cynical, arrogant, very sure of himself who doesn’t care about anything else but him. But, then we have Graham, loyal to his friends, a guardian, cool and you can say even shy. Whenever I start reading a book, and there are more than one male after our heroine, I know from the beginning who is my favorite, the one that I’m going to stand by til the end. But with this book, that didn’t happen. It was impossible for me to pick one of them, but at the end it was Reid’s presumptuous attitude what conquered me, of course, who can resist a bad ...

boy? They’re our weakness! Frankly, I loved my love/hate relationship with him, and I think that was Webber’s point, that we would love but also hate him, he just doesn’t have any respect for anybody, which I hate, but I still love him xD

Despite the story being very cliche, and with particular subjects that I’m not usually attracted to, this was very special because Webber didn’t avoid things like drugs, alcohol and sex, like in other books with Hollywood or rock stars might happen. It is obvious those things are very present in this lifestyle, we see it every day on the news, especially in teenagers, so it was really refreshing to read about those subjects. There were also very unexpected

moments that caught me of guard, I didn’t think I was going to find a lot of different things with Between The Lines, as I said the storyline might seem a bit cliche, but it was great that it had little surprises here and there. And the ending, I just can say it’s not the typical ending that we see in most books. And I won’t tell you much, cause you might like to read it.

There are two more books on this series, so there’s more to these characters. I just have to tell you to keep your mind open with this book, it might seemed like you know exactly what’s gonna happened but it definitely surprises you. Very recommend it!
