I purchased this part to replace the oem Vibration Motor on an Iphone 4s. The original Vibration Motor quit working entirely. The phone didn't vibrate at all, which was a huge inconvenience. The issue continued after resetting the phone. Anyways I installed the part myself, and it worked as expected. It's not the oem Vibration Motor, but to me it works essentially the same as the original part.

Before you purchase this part, I should mention that you do have to remove the main board to get access to the Vibration Motor. It's a fairly difficult task, particularly if you haven't worked on an Iphone before. Altogether, it will probably take about an hour to complete. I started out by taking off the back cover. This picture shows the two small screws at the bottom of the phone. I had to remove these to get the back cover off. Once these were removed the cover just slides off.

Next, I took the battery out of the phone, and I would suggest disconnecting it before taking off any other parts. This picture shows the battery cable as I disconnected it from the main board. There was one small screw that I had to remove. Once the screw is removed, all you have to do is pull it, and it'll pop off. This wasn't difficult at all to remove.

This photo is of the camera. This has to be removed to get the main board out. You just have to get under this cable and pull up on it, and it comes off. On the plus side, there was nothing else keeping the camera in place. You can take the camera out once this cable is disconnected.

Next, I disconnected a bunch of the cables that were located at the top of the main board. All of these cables are designed the same. All you have to do is pull up on these and they will come off, without much difficulty. The two cables at the top are for the screen. These cable are extremely thin, and pretty fragile so you should be diligent with these.

This cable is for the charging port. This one was a bit tough because it's a bit larger than some of the other cables. However, I did get it removed by sliding a plastic razor around the entire connector. It eventually popped off, but it took some time.

In this photo I circled all of the screws that I had to remove to get the main board out. There were a total of 5 screws. FYI, the screw on the lower left side also holds the Vibration Motor in place. Once I removed these, I just removed the board from the frame. Also, if you have any other cables on your main board, you should remove them before taking the board out. These were all the cables that I had to remove for this phone, but I've worked on other Iphone 4s that are designed a bit differently.

This is the Vibration Motor once I got the main board out. On the downside, there was a bit of adhesive underneath the Vibration Motor, so I had to pry under it a bit to get it off. I just used my tool to go around the entire part, and it eventually came off. However, it was a bit tough, and it'll probably take you about 2-3 minutes to get it off.

This is the frame once I removed the old part. I did not put any new adhesive on this because there was a bit left there from the old part. Like I mentioned before, this is also held by the screw from the main board, so it definitely shouldn't come out of place.
This is the new part once I got it installed. There isn't much you have to do here. You just have to match the screw hole on the part with the one of the frame, and stick it in place. You don't have to be exact with this because you can adjust it a bit after putting the main board back on. I don't want to be repetitive, but I put all the other parts back on as the came off. If you have any issues putting anything on, I would suggest checking the previous photos.

Altogether the part works as intended, so I have no complaints. For anyone that's in the market for this, I should mention that I purchased this from Amazon.com. It was only $3, so it's relatively cheap but it did take about an hour to install. Once I got it installed, the vibrator worked as it originally did so I give it an A+!
