Seeds Of Chance Certified Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice with Garlic is a product I purchased from my neighborhood Kroger. At the time, I was looking for quick prepackaged meals to use for side dishes and lunch. Seeds of Chance particularly caught my eye in the organic section.

I like short cuts when it comes to preparing meals. Which is why Seeds Of Chance Certified Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice with Garlic appealed to me. I personally love brown rice, and quinoa is a healthy seed that has become all the rage lately.

Certified Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice comes in a pouch that has a convenient tearable top. The appeal of this product is that you can microwave it for ninety seconds while still in the pouch. Which is explained to be as easy as squeezing the pouch to separate the rice, tear at the top about two inches for the pouch to vent and then heat on high for ninety seconds.

Then there’s the second method in which you can prepare the brown rice and quinoa in a skillet. And the way to do this is gently squeeze

the sides of the pouch to break up the rice, and then pour into a skillet. Then you are to add two tablespoons of water and heat, and stir occasionally until heated thoroughly. I chose to use the second method, and used a bit of water and a little bit of cooking spray to keep the brown rice and quinoa from sticking.

What I like about this product is not only is it organic, it’s one hundred percent whole grain, all natural, vegetarian, and has no preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors.

is absolutely delicious. It was chewy, full of strong garlicky flavor but it was still blended with other spices that kept it from being overpowering. I like that it wasn’t super salty either.

One serving, which is one cup, is two hundred and forty calories with thirty calories being from fat. Zero cholesterol, four hundred milligrams of sodium, two hundred and ten milligrams of potassium, forty seven grams of carbs, one gram of sugar, and six grams of proteins. There is also two servings per pouch.

On the ingredient, it list that there whole grain brown rice,

whole grain quinoa, sunflower oil, sea salt, garlic powder, tapioca starch, onion powder, soy lecithin, parsley, spice. I like that it’s readable without having to have a dictionary close by.

In the end I really enjoyed this product. It’s quick, and certainly tasty. Products like this, make eating healthy easy and convenient.

At the time of purchase, this product cost $3.99, but depending on where you shop it can cost anywhere from $2.50 to about $4.

I would recommend this product to a friend or someone who is looking for a product that is easy and straightforward without all the extras.

I agree because it saves you a lot of time in the kitchen and I think if you can get to prepare a good and healthy meal for half of the time that you would if you hadn’t taken shortcuts that’s good. Taking shortcuts yet not compromising the quality of the food …It’s absolutely helpful in many ways.
