As a lover of all lip products, I was thrilled to receive a pot of Mango Lip Butter from The Body Shop for Christmas. It was my first experience with any lip products from The Body Shop and immediately, I fell in love.

Just by chance, I was actually dealing with sore and chapped lips during the holidays, so naturally when I opened this gift, I decided to try it right away. Within three days my lips

were no longer sore and they looked much better. Satisfied, I continued using this lip butter for the remainder of the winter. I love the instant, long-lasting hydration this lip butter provides. I can apply a thin layer before going to bed and when I wake up six to eight hours later, my lips still feel soft and moist.

While I was initially disappointed that this product did not smell or taste as similar to a real mango as I would have liked, the smell is just as pleasant and the taste, which is also pleasant, is quite mild. One other thing that initially disappointed me was that the lip butter seemed quite thick and visible on my lips, but I quickly realized that I was applying too much. Apply a thin layer and gently massage into your lips and it should leave you with a beautiful, clear shine.

      Ordinarily, I’m not ...

a huge fan of applying lip products with my finger. Some of them are hard to get out of the pot, others stain my finger or are greasy and hard to wash off skin. To my delight, the Mango Lip Butter from The Body Shop is not one of these products.

The Body Shop offers several other lip butters including Coconut, Shea, Pink Grapefruit, Dragon Fruit, Honeymania and Chocomania. Based on my experience with the Mango

Lip Butter, I cannot resist trying some of these. I am especially excited to try Dragon Fruit and Coconut.

I have heard some complaints about the price ($6CDN per pot) but honestly it is worth every penny. It is also important to note that a little product goes a long way. With frequent use, one pot can still last a couple of months.

Mango Lip Butter can be purchased from The Body Shop stores or online.
