  • What I like about them however is that they are indeed the type of rolls you might find at a delicatessen selling freshly made sandwiches
  • I'm sure everyone out there has had a hot dog bun or hamburger bun that felt apart far too easily in the past, but with these deli rolls, that hasn't been a problem for me
  • I have not yet had any issues yet with these deli rolls tasting stale or old upon purchasing them and I haven't had a package go bad on me unexpectedly, so the quality definitely seems fine
  • Thus, I will continue to be a regular buyer of these deli rolls and would recommend them to anyone out there that enjoys a good homemade sandwich, as they seem pretty much ideal for such purposes, even if you crave lightly toasted sandwiches, as I do from time to time

The L’oven Fresh Center Split White Deli Rolls can be purchased from ALDI Food Market stores. In one package comes six deli rolls for one dollar and forty-nine cents. I have purchased these deli rolls a handful of times now and I’ve been as pleased with them as a person can be with something like this. After all, they are just white deli rolls after all, so there obviously isn’t much to them. What I like about them however is that they are indeed the type of rolls you might

find at a delicatessen selling freshly made sandwiches. The rolls are long and wide, almost similar in a shape to a hot dog bun to an extent, but bigger, fluffier and capable of holding a lot more, so the deli rolls are more like something you might see holding together a plump sub sandwich.

I have found quite a few uses for them. They’re fantastic for making a homemade sub sandwich that’s loaded with lunch meat and cheeses, fresh vegetables like tomatoes and lettuce as well as onions, and even

if I add a vinaigrette or one of the specialized sub sandwich dressings sold in grocery stores, I find that the deli rolls hold together just fine! They don’t fall apart easily even I’m packing them full or if I’ve added a topping like a dressing, the buns don’t get overly soggy because they are large and there’s quite a bit of bread between the two halves. I’m sure everyone out there has had a hot dog bun or hamburger bun that felt apart far too easily in the past,

but with these deli rolls, that hasn’t been a problem for me. They also toast nicely in the oven if I want to have, say, a toasted roast beef sandwich with melted cheese, peppers and onions!

I have not yet had any issues yet with these deli rolls tasting stale or old upon purchasing them and I haven’t had a package go bad on me unexpectedly, so the quality definitely seems fine. Admittedly, as it is nothing more than white bread, the deli rolls don’t have too much flavor to

them, but I can still taste the bread as I’m biting into my sandwiches, no matter how much I sometimes ended up stacking on them, and it does contribute positively to the overall taste of whatever it is I’m eating. Thus, I will continue to be a regular buyer of these deli rolls and would recommend them to anyone out there that enjoys a good homemade sandwich, as they seem pretty much ideal for such purposes, even if you crave lightly toasted sandwiches, as I do from time to time!

Why can’t you slice them in half, some are less than a third cut from the bottom, other wise they tear apart to easy, Thank you

Doing that makes it messier if you like to apply condiments to hot dogs, such as ketchup or onions or relish. These deli rolls are much better suited for condiment toppings and sub sandwich dressings, in my opinion. They hold together so much better.

I can’t find an expiration date on these packages or on the plastic twist tie. What is their shelf life?

Since there is no way of knowing what the Best Buy date is if there is no date on the packaging, the safest course of action would be to return to the Aldi that you purchased the rolls from and ask for an exchange. It’s possible that there simply was a packaging error and the Best Buy date either didn’t get printed or it printed so lightly that it’s either not visible or barely visible. Regardless, no sense in taking any chances and return the package either for a refund or an exchange.
