  • If you're eating dinner here on a busy night, I would recommend skipping the hassle of the gravel lot and parking next door at the boutique that is closed during dinner hours
  • I was very impressed by everything on both of our plates so I give the food a 10/10 as well
  • It’s like barbecuing and cooking burgers on the deck with some friends except the food is way better than any friend’s house I know of and you don't have to cook anything

Sassy’s Red House is a great local barbecue restaurant in Fayetteville, Arkansas. My first impression of the restaurant wasn’t great. Parking was a hassle. There are five to ten paved parking spaces in the front and then a gravel lot around the back. It’s not the easiest lot to navigate. If you’re eating dinner here on a busy night, I would recommend skipping the hassle of the gravel lot and parking next door at the boutique that is closed during dinner hours. However, once I got past the obstacle

of parking, the restaurant itself was phenomenal.

The atmosphere perfectly suited the style of restaurant that this is. I went with my girlfriend for dinner on a Saturday and we dined outside on the deck. It was a late spring evening in the upper 70s so the weather was perfect. There are TVs all around the dining area with live sports to watch. The tables are picnic tables, the circular metal kind with the umbrella in the middle. There are high wooden planked walls that go around the deck so that it sort of feels like you’re at a backyard barbecue. The atmosphere was a 10/10.

The service was also great. Our waitress was attentive. Our food came pretty quickly and our water glasses were never empty. Since it is a barbecue restaurant and we were seated on the outdoor deck, we didn’t require that much service so our needs were completely met. I give the service a 10/10 as well.

Finally, the food was very good. We weren’t very hungry so we skipped straight to the entrees and then skipped ...

dessert after that. I had the chili burger with waffle fries and my date had the smoked chicken salad. The burger was delicious. It’s one of the best burgers in town. It was a nice thick beef patty topped with a mild chili and cheese. The bun was fresh and the fries were also very nice and well seasoned. My date’s salad was surprisingly good looking. At the barbecue and burger type restaurants, you often get subpar vegetables but the salad was a hearty looking romaine with roasted corn,
smoked chicken, and Italian dressing. She’s a picky eater and she said it was really good. I was very impressed by everything on both of our plates so I give the food a 10/10 as well.

Overall, Sassy’s Red House is a restaurant that screams summer. It’s like barbecuing and cooking burgers on the deck with some friends except the food is way better than any friend’s house I know of and you don’t have to cook anything. This restaurant is a 10/10 and I would highly recommend going anytime the weather is nice.
