Dover Downs Hotel and Casino is a great place for a couple to have fun and get your gamble on. The Casino floor is open 24hrs a day with about 2,500 slot machines, 41 table game tables and a 18 table poker room on the 3rd floor. There is also a sports book at this casino which is great for any sports fan.

The 41 tables of table games include Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Spanish 21, Roulette and much more. Some

tables such as Draw Poker and Mississippi Stud are not open 24 hours a day. This casino has $5 and $10 minimum bet tables running all day as well as a couple $25 Blackjack tables. Overall the atmosphere at these games are positive and the dealers are overall fairly nice.

The 18 table Crown Royal Poker Room located on the 3rd floor isn’t much to be desired, but at least it gives you a good taste of some poker. There are normally 1-3 tables running 24hrs a day and they are mostly 1-2 No Limit Holdem. At the tables there are mostly just regulars that play every single day which takes away some of the fun for a vacationer to this casino. Tournaments are ran fairly smoothly, but the majority of them have small playing fields with a low payout.

The buffet is fairly good and the variety ranges from various international dishes. I have also ate dinner at the Raw Oyster Bar and I thought ...

it was good, but pricey. This casino does not have complementary alcohol and they stop serving alcohol at Dover Downs at Midnight, but this all state law which can not be controlled.

The hotel rooms are clean and their wifi has a good signal. Depending on what side of the hotel your room is on you can get a decent view of the racetrack which is nice if there is a race going on.

The promotions at this casino are pretty decent. I’m a

regular silver member, but I recieve $40 a week in MatchPlays and the occasional $100 in MatchPlay. I’m always able to recieve a free room at this casino, even on the weekends. Also when you are at a table game always remember to ask the supervisor for free buffet comps. They will normally always give it to you.

Overall this casino is fairly good for a Day Trip. If you are looking to stay multiple nights I would suggest just driving to Atlantic City.
