  • I have used a few different types of glitter glue and these are definitely one of the best
  • They do get a little bit stringy so you so have to pay a bit of attention when lifting up but I think that’s par for the course with any glue
  • I highly recommend letting them sit overnight before handling or else they might smear if you try to touch them

I have used a few different types of glitter glue and these are definitely one of the best. I refuse to have stores put my family’s name on stockings only because I am a very do it yourself kind of person and love to have the homemade touch on everything. These glitter glues are superior for writing names on stockings. First of all, they glide very smoothly.

Other glitter glues I have used tend to be a little runny and when you let go of the pressure to finish a line, they can get very stringy and make a

mess of the project. These glues release a lot easier from the tube when you are ready to lift the glue up. They do get a little bit stringy so you so have to pay a bit of attention when lifting up but I think that’s par for the course with any glue.

That being said, they do have a minimal amount of stringiness. They also seem to dry a lot quicker than other glues but they still can take some time. I highly recommend letting them sit overnight before handling or else they might smear if you try to touch them.

When they are dry, they do shrink in line width a little bit as does any type of glue product. So if you make a thin to medium line, your letters will come out on the thinner side. I don’t recommend making them too thin because then they will break apart if handled too much when dry.

On the flip side, you don’t want to make them too thick either because then the glue can run into itself having lines overlap and not be clear. A lot of other glues run way more than this ...

brand and I’ve actually used this brand over other glues to make the lines more definitive. It adheres very well to any fabric but you can not use these on any shirts or fabrics that are going to be washed.

They are washable glue sticks so water contact will ruin them. On the plus side, they are non toxic and very easy to use for children. A parent can appreciate supplies that are easy to wash off of their children’s hands!

They also don’t dry out that easily either because they have a little insert that sits over the top.

In order to use the glue, you actually have to unscrew the tip and take the insert out before using. I highly recommend not discarding the insert and putting the plug back in when you’re done as this will keep the glues fresher for longer and prevent them from drying out for longer. The colors are also very bold and bright and with the 9 count pack you get a large variety.

I highly recommend these glitter glues for stocking projects or any art project that will not be washed in the future. You can usually get them for 6-7 USD in many stores.
