  • If that's what you are after, I wouldn't recommend the Pillsbury Heat-N-Go Maple Burst'n Mini Pancakes, even for the low price of one dollar, which is what one package generally retails for
  • One dollar may buy you roughly seven mini pancakes in an easy, convenient microwavable bag that produces hot mini pancakes in under a minute, but even though these mini pancakes are a great time saver, I was disappointed in them
  • The mini pancakes come in a couple of different flavors, but I picked up this particular one because I like maple and so maple pancakes sounded tasty to me
  • The convenience is definitely there as the package goes straight from the freezer to the microwave, so what could be easier than that

Frozen foods typically offer a good degree of convenience, be it if a person is short on time or short on cooking skills. While the quality isn’t always there, sometimes frozen foods can come out of the microwave, or in some instances the oven, tasting just as fresh and good as a food prepared at home. Mornings in particular can be a time when a person is lacking in time but still desires a decent meal to start off his or her day. If that’s what

The mini pancakes come in a couple of different flavors, but I picked up this particular one because I like maple and so maple pancakes sounded tasty to me. The use of the word “Burst’n” on the packaging, to me, implied the mini pancakes would be bursting with maple flavor. That’s the main reason I purchased them. To my disappointment, I tasted very, very little maple. The maple flavoring was pretty much non-existent. Thus, I feel this product is being marketed untruthfully to an extent. The mini pancakes themselves were fine, at least. About two bites and each of the mini pancakes was no ...

more. They did come out of the microwave soft and easily chewable, so as far as texture goes, the mini pancakes themselves were fine. It just tasted like I was eating a pancake without any butter and syrup, and I was expecting a maple syrup flavor as implied by the packaging.

I would have been a regular buyer of these mini pancakes had they delivered the flavor I was expecting since there is a lot I like about them. The convenience is definitely there as the package

goes straight from the freezer to the microwave, so what could be easier than that? The price is appealing too, since one dollar gets a person around six or seven mini pancakes. This should have been a great product, which is why it disappointed me so when I bit into the mini pancakes and noticed hardly any maple flavoring. That alone ruined a product I would have otherwise been a real fan of. I won’t buy it again and I wouldn’t give it good word of mouth to others, either.
