What is Slice the Pie?
Slicethepie is a music reviewing website. They pay music fans or in others words YOU to review music from both professional and amateurs musicians and artist who want to know what music fans think of their new tracks.
How does it work?
You just have to log in with an e-mail address and a password at http://www.slicethepie.com/?c=register and answer the questions. It doesn’t take long and it is very simple. Once your account is created you can start reviewing music and getting paid for it. You only need to click on the “play” button and a random song will start playing. You can write your thoughts and feelings in the text box next to the “play” button. Once you
have listened to the song for 90 seconds you will be asked to rate the song.
How do I review music songs?
You do not need to know much about music to earn a couple of cents per review. If you write a 100 to 200 words review while you listen to the song then you will get $0,05 to $0,10. But if you want to earn more cents per review then you should consider to write about the all the aspects of the song.
What should I write about?
First of all listen carefully to the introduction of the song. What instruments are used to create the intro? How does the intro sound like? What genre do you think the song will
be by only having heard the intro?
Second important aspect of the song is the vocal performance? How does it sound like? What voice is it? Does it reaches the high notes with easy or does it get screechy? Do you feel a certain emotion by how the lyrics are sung with passion and conviction?
The next important part is to describe the lyrics. Are they amusing and punchy but without and message or meaning or do they have a meaningful, heart-warming phrases? Do they correspond with the vocals and the melody of the song?
The last thing you should write about in your review is to give an overall summary and impression of the song. Try also to give your thought ...
re : Important when writing the review is that you should be as descriptive as possible avoid words like ‘good and Awesome dude but be more specific and diplomatic
I totally agree. First, it s totally disrespectful toward the artist if you just drop a few words. It s obvious then that you are just aiming for a quick money. Secondly, you should write reviews there if music is your niche and you know what are you talking about, thus helping the artists and yourself.
re : But if you want to earn more cents per review then you should consider to write about the all the aspects of the song
I think there should be a 10 cent minimum, the genres aren’t extremely accurate so i find myself reviewing metal music, which i hate, and i have to sit through 90 seconds of songs that i usually dislike. i think the 50 word minimum is enough to earn at least 10 cents. maybe every ten or fifteen words, add a cent on?
The problem with sites like Slicethepie and Musicxray is that you may take long without receiving any song to review and when you do, you receive very few.
This site is okay the pay is too little for me to join. Then you have to write specific review that pays so little they should have a set price like a .20-.25 per review no higher no lower because it takes you a long time to get 10 dollars. I would not even recommend this site until they upgrade the pay.Though everything else is okay with the site you can find out for yourself.
Slicethepie is an okay website. It pays $ 0.4 to $ 0.25 cents for each thing you review. I think the price should be more, at least 0.50 cent per review, because you’re listening to 2 to 5 minute songs. The set up is easy though but thi should not be your main source of income.
I think slice the pie is a good site because it pays to listen to music that nice you can listen to music expecting to also earn some money from it so its fun.
re : If you would like to know more about Slice the pie then I suggest you go to the website and consult the FAQ’s
Yes, slicethepie is a legitimate company and I earned 250 USD from that site and after that they banned me already.
I bumped on this site some time back through Google search. I was so disappointed off when I found out that they pay so little for written reviews. They should try upscaling the pay to attract better reviewers.
