Released in November 2012, “Music From Another Dimension!” is Aerosmith’s 15th studio album and the first since their last album released back in 2004 titled “Honkin’ On Bobo”. This latest album features 15 brand new songs and is full of great material that I think will be sure to please any Aerosmith fan.

“Music From Another Dimension!” features Aerosmith’s single “Legendary Child” which was released in May 2012, and also performed by the band on the season finale of “American Idol” in the same year. Rumoured to have been written back in 1991 but never released until now, I really love this song

as it reminds me of classic Aerosmith hits like “Walk This Way” and “Dude Looks Like A Lady”.

Another of my favourite songs from “Music From Another Dimension!” is the third track on the album titled “Beautiful”. I particularly like this song as the first time I heard it was at Aerosmith’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2012. They didn’t actually play the song live, it was only played through the speakers, but every time I hear it, it instantly brings back memories from that great night and the feeling of seeing Aerosmith perform live for the first time.

The album contains many catchy songs like “LUV XXX”, “Oh Yeah” and “Tell Me” to name a few, that will no doubt get stuck in your head for hours. These songs really showcase Steven Tyler’s exceptional voice and distinctive style. The second released single titled “Lover Alot” is lyrically repetitive, but this is one that I just can’t get enough of!

For those listeners looking for something a little on the softer side, you’ll love the tracks “Another Last Goodbye” and “We All Fall Down”. Both of these songs are beautifully composed and Steven Tyler has managed to capture the emotion in each ...

of these tracks perfectly. The third single released from the album titled “What Could Have Been Love” is another soft song that can easily be listened to on repeat.

Guitarist, Joe Perry also takes over lead vocals on a few of the tracks on “Music From Another Dimension!” These songs include “Freedom Fighter” and “Something”. On some deluxe editions of the album, Joe also sings on a track called “Oasis In The Night”. In my opinion, this track is one of the best new songs from the band and should have been included on the normal edition of the album. I think

it’s great that Joe takes lead vocals on some songs because like Steven Tyler, he has an amazing, unique voice that just works wonderfully with these songs.

The only song on the album that I don’t listen to very often is “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” featuring Carrie Underwood. It has nice lyrics, but I just don’t really like the country music vibe it gives off. I much prefer to listen to the rest of the tracks on the album.

I think “Music From Another Dimension!” definitely has something to offer for all Aerosmith fans, and overall it is a fantastic album.
