There are many wonderful things at Epcot at Walt Disney World from the Future World attractions to the World Showcase pavilions, but there are only a few that truly stand out as timeless classics of the educational park that has changed so much since it opened in 1982. And I’m not talking about the speed of Test Track or the G forces from Mission Space. I’m talking about attractions that symbolize who and what we are. I feel that the

      American Adventure does that.

The architecture of the American Adventure is just amazing and stunning in its craftsmanship and how it portrays the feeling of colonial times when walking towards the American Adventure building. It is a great place to just go inside and cool off during a hot day in Epcot. For the interior of the American Adventure building displays paintings of historical moments in American history as well as featuring a large dome ceiling.

The theater where the American Adventure show is presented is huge and features the Audio-Animatronics that are so very popular at Walt Disney World. The seats are very relaxing, which causes my husband and son to fall asleep because of the A/C and the comfortable seats. The show itself is a great tribute to what made our country what is it today, told through the eyes of Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. From the beginning of the country with the early settlers, the Indians,

the age of industrial revolution, and the wars that shaped our world. But my favorite part of the presentation is the music. One of my all time favorite songs is ‘America.’ Which is sung at the end of the show. It is so powerful and just makes you want to stand up and salute right then and there.

The Audio-Animatronics are not state of the art, but they are just as amazing as they were when the attraction first opened.

I have yet to see them malfunction and I’ve seen this presentation hundreds of time over my lifetime.

One of the best touches that I found in this attraction was the 12 marble statues of people who have inspired and influenced the growth of the USA. Especially at the end where the curtains up and all of the statues are silhouetted.

This is not just a great place to sit and relax after walking the World Showcase, but an amazing theater presentation to enjoy.
