  • With summer coming, I did not want the scars to be showing as much as they have been so I decided to try the Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter with Shea Butter and Vitamin E
  • It does take a bit of work to work the belly butter into the skin, which is why I find the best time to apply it is after a bath when the skin is warm and moist
  • The butter is also fragrant free, which I love because my asthma does not act up when I use it
  • However, the butter is expensive because I paid thirteen dollars for it at my local grocery store

I have had scars on the left side of my tummy and hip for about a year now, which was left behind after having a bad case of the shingles that caused a nasty blistering rash. With summer coming, I did not want the scars to be showing as much as they have been so I decided to try the Burts Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter with Shea Butter and Vitamin E. To my surprise, the cream has helped fade the scars

greatly, but they are still lightly visible. However, I do feel better about putting my bikini on this summer when I go to the beach or the lake for a swim.

Now, I realize the cream is meant for pregnant moms to prevent stretch marks. However, I figured because it contains natural ingredients in it that heals the skin naturally such as vitamin E, pumpkin seed extract, beeswax, olive oil, She butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, jojoba butter, almond oil, and sunflower oil, that it would help heal my skin up well and fade away the scars, which it is doing. The butter itself is thick, yet creamy and very similar to butter in texture. It does take a bit of work to work the belly butter into the skin, which is why I find the best time to apply it is after a bath when the skin is warm and moist. The butter melts into the skin well when it is warm ...

and moist and it absorbs well without being too oily or greasy. The butter is also fragrant free, which I love because my asthma does not act up when I use it.

With daily use of the belly butter for at least three and half months now the scars are barely visible and my tummy is soft and well toned. I also like that I have been able to use the butter on my elbows, heels, knees and hands as well when

they are dry to help hydrate and soften them up well. However, the butter is expensive because I paid thirteen dollars for it at my local grocery store. Although, I will say it has been worth every penny because I hope in another month or so the scars will be completely gone. I will also say a little bit of this butter goes a long ways because I still have half a tub left and you get six and half ounces per tub.
