Well when you see the likes of Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman & Ben Kingsley starring together in a movie you’re sure it’ll be good. I have to say that the jury is still out ‘ the acting was great, the storyline was really good and even I missed two of the twists in the end (I won’t ruin it by telling you which ones), my husband missed most of them.

Unfortunately it seemed really slow in places which was disappointing as it could have been a fantastic movie otherwise.

The movie starts with a fixed horse race and a

few dead bodies fast forward to an airport lounge and Bruce Willis in a wheelchair talking about the ‘Kansas City Shuffle’, fast forward again to a guy named Slevin.

His girlfriend cheats on him and he loses his job, so his friend Nick tells him to come and stay.

He flies in and on the walk around to his friends apartment is mugged and his wallet stolen.

When he gets to his friend’s apartment his friend has disappeared.

Next thing you know he’s been taken to meet ‘the Boss’ played by the fantastic Morgan Freeman ...

      • and asked to payback a debt as Nick Palmer owes money (of course no one cares that Slevin isn’t really Nick, he’s got no id and he’s staying at his apartment add to the fact that the two people who can id Nick have both been killed).

As ‘Nick’ has no means of paying back the debt ‘the Boss’ tells him that he can have the slate wiped clean by killing ‘the Rabbi’s’ son.

The Rabbi is played by the amazing Ben Kingsley and is the other crime boss in the movie.

        The next thing ‘Nick’ just

gets back the the apartment and he’s taken to ‘the Rabbi’ and asked to payback another debt.

All of the time under the surveillance of the under-rated Stanley Tucci as one of the cops watching the two bosses and wondering who this person is.

Added to the mix is the beautiful Lucy Liu who plays Nick’s neighbour who is the local coroner and throws herself into the mix as an amateur sleuth.

Then there is the mysterious Mr Smith played by the super cool Bruce Willis.

As I said the storyline is fantastic, it’s just a little slow in places.
