  • Rogue G-10 seemed the best choice due to its surprisingly low price
  • The biggest problem of the amp is that after turning the volume controller higher than 5 the sound is damaged and much less clear, especially with switched on overdrive

I have purchased this little guitar amp several months ago and i’m currently using it with my squier bullet strat electric guitar. I had a limited budget and couldn’t afford anything really expensive. Rogue G-10 seemed the best choice due to its surprisingly low price. (the price varies between 22$-32$.

) When i opened the pack and examined the amp carefully,it became clear why it costs so little money. The materials are really rough and unpleasant and it’s not very carefully made as well. The advantage is that

it’s really small, not very heavy and it’s absolutely easy to use.

The pack contained user guide, but you won’t really need it as it took me seconds to understand every detail. Rogue G-10 has volume, treble and bass controllers. It also has a tiny button, which is called overdrive.

It’s a kind of ,,effect'’ that makes the sound louder, more heavier but less clearer. You can also insert earphones but with a special adapter. Now,let’s talk a bit about the main thing -the sound.

I have to say that the sound isn’t very clean but on the other hand, the amp itself has a plenty of volume! The max. The sound is marked at ten and at home i don’t use it higher than 3!I mostly play hard rock,so overdrive is a really useful thing. The treble and bass controllers also change sound dramatically and i advice you to use them at maximum.

My squier bullet strat also has treble and bass controllers and they are usually turned to max,as the final sound is always more effective ...

and impressive at that time. The biggest problem of the amp is that after turning the volume controller higher than 5 the sound is damaged and much less clear, especially with switched on overdrive. Consequently,it can be really useful only at home.

For bigger places you ‘ll need huge, professional amps. Anyway,it’s just a starter little amp which is most useful when practising at home. If you are a part of a band or just solo guitarist and are seriously thinking of future plans, then this amp is not

enough but for a beginner with a limited budget, it’s probably one of the wisest choices.

You must also realize that the electric guitar and the amp must be the same quality and level. It would be certainly silly to buy a 1800$ gibson les paul with such starter amp!If you buy a a cheap guitar ,then get a cheap amp as well and so on. I rate this product with 8 because it exactly matches the price and is a tangible evidence that cheap doesn’t always mean bad.

They should have made those volume parameters more balanced in these kind of amps.
