Recently, I was lucky enough to pick up Guild Wars 2, a fantasy-based MMORPG published by NcSoft and developed by ArenaNet. Let me start off first by saying that it is truly a great game and coupled with the buy to play format, it is great. The game will start you off by picking one of many servers. After that, you will proceed to the character creation where you can choose to create a Charr, Human, Asura, Sylvari, or Norn. There are eight professions each having it’s own unique abilities and armor.

Each race has their own starting area where you will be introduced to their diverse cultures and struggles in the world of Tyria. The game ditches the traditional feel of MMORPGS. There is no collect and kill quests nor is there world player versus player. Instead, quests are marked on your map by scouts who are found all over Tyria.

You can go to them and you will instantly be thrown into an event that involves killing mobs, destroying objects, setting traps, and even feeding cattle. After you complete it, you will be mailed money and will proceed to other things. World player versus player is another thing people look for when playing MMORPGS. Guild Wars 2 leaves it with other games and rolls with Server vs.

Server and Ranked Instanced player versus player. Server battles are massive battles that stretch on for days involving several servers in a constant battle. It is superb and one of the best options of pvp I have ever seen. The combat system in MMORPGS is usually the game-breaker.

In Guild Wars 2, it exceeds on every level.

You are not standing in one spot mashing buttons. Instead, you are always on the move. Players will find themselves evading attacks, dodging bullets, and rolling away from deadly magic.

Players always have to be on the move. The combat system is unique and allows you to combine moves with others to weave a deadly attack or dishing out sinister combos. The final thing most players look at in a game is the lore. The game takes place 250 years after the Guild Wars 1 expansion, Eye of the North.

      Five elder

dragons have awoken beneath Tyria and caused chaos throughout Tyria. Players will find themselves going through a racial story that is effected by your choices in the character creation. However there is flaws with broken quests and overpowered bosses. But the storylines are greatly made with dialogue, player choices, and great rewards.

Guild Wars 2 has exceeded in almost every way with several minor flaws. The stories are amazing, quests are well designed, player versus player exceeds over any other game on the market, and pve is superb. This is definitely a game to check out.
