      I take nutrition seriously and have had the opportunity to try a number of different dietary supplements. In this case I tried the 21st Century Dietary Supplement of DHEA-25 mg. DHEA or Dehydroepiandrosterone is an important supplement that supposedly slows the ageing process and replaces the declining hormones in both men and women, which occurs after the age of 25. When I first heard of this particular supplement I was skeptical, but as I read more articles in fitness magazines regarding the positive effects of DHEA I decided to try it.

      mg of DHEA by a different company and although I liked it I found it energized me to a large extreme and I wanted to try a split dose in the day, which they didn’t offer. Therefor, I looked for a better supplement company and found 21st Century. Their dosage was smaller, only 25 mg but they suggested taking 1 to 2 pills per day. This was what I believed would help me use proper portions and have balanced hormone levels throughout the day for optimal muscle growth and retention. I began by taking 1 pill (25 mg) before my workout at the gym,

      • since it was suggested by fitness experts to have a little bit before. However, I found that unlike the dosage of 50 mg that I had been taking, 1 pill had very little effect on my energy at the gym, which I had previously experienced. Therefor, I took both pills before the gym after about a week of trying just 1 and I noticed an immediate difference. I became a little bit more energetic, but not too much, and felt like I could lift more. In addition I noticed an increase in libido after the gym, which was an added bonus.

        I have taken this supplement for about 3 months now and have noticed low to medium gains in muscle and energy. With it only costing $15.99 it is a good price for the benefits of energy, muscle gain and other positives, but keep in mind it might make you active so don’t take it at night. On non-workout days it would be best to take 1 pill in the morning and 1 around dinner, so you can have a steady hormone level throughout the day. I definitely recommend this supplement if you want a stable dosage through the day at a cheap price.
