  • Because you can definitely say there is not much of action out there
  • Gina Carano, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender constitute a strong team but…I think that their performances were driven by the poor plot and script

I am actually happy that I watched this movie for free and not in the cinema paying some kind of ticket. Well, I would say it is a strange movie; I did not understand if it was meant to be an action one or something else. Because you can definitely say there is not much of action out there.

To begin with: the plot. This is about one more action movie related to all those parastatal organizations which utilizes those super-hyper-extra-skilful/ trained agents that can kick the ass of a whole army without even bleed. This particular

one agent of interest in this movie is Gina Carano as Mallory Kane which got trapped and betrayed in one mission and then she is trying to escape the police, which run after her, and revenge at the same time. As you might assume, in the end she manages to attain her goal.

The cast is awesome actually and this makes things worse cause one, including me, forms quite some expectations. Gina Carano, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender constitute a strong team but…I think that their performances were driven by the poor plot and ...

      • script. In such movies the whole story is very, very predictable so what is left to the producers is to compensate through the actual scenes. Here however, the action is quite slow and the chasing scenes barely mediocre. The fighting scenes…well, just ok; some of them are pretty cool, realistic and well choreographed some other are really dumb (especially the one that she is fighting with the two police men…horribly unrealistic). The music…again mediocre. I feel it does not really add anything to the movie but on the other hand fits with the weird set-up of
it. Generally not very well shoot. The action takes place in several cities but this is not very obvious in the movie either. And I have no idea how the whole narration of the story from Mallory to the kidnapped guy helped at all the plot.

All in all Haywire is not that a good movie. Is not as bad as you might deduce from this review; action movies is not much of my thing so I tend to be pretty strict. But please, do not have any high expectations. Then you might enjoy it more.
