When you don’t have the time or inclination to cook from scratch some evenings and want something that is easy and convenient to fix, the Hormel Microwavable Compleats Turkey and Dressing With Gravy dinner may work for you.

I got it because it was less expensive than frozen dinners (from $2.29-$2.69) and because frozen dinners take up too much space in the freezer. Additionally, I have purchased various Hormel products in the past and been satisfied with

them, which is why I decided to try this particular entree.

It comes in a compact 10-ounce tray that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or frozen, so,if you buy several of them, storage is a snap. When you’re ready to prepare the meal, all you have to do is remove the packaging, then prick the cover with a fork to vent and microwave each individual tray for 90 seconds.

In terms of taste, my verdict would put it ...

      • somewhere as slightly above average. I like the dressing and gravy, which are rich in flavor, but the processed turkey meat was only so-so. Kind of reminds me of the “turkey” they used to serve in the school cafeteria when I was a kid. Still, if you add sides of veggies, such as a salad or green beans and the like to it, you can actually have a quite passable family meal. My husband is a
very picky eater and he doesn’t complain when I serve this.

The downside, of course, is the amount of sodium in the product-1120 mg to be precise. I wish they would make a low sodium version of this. However,The Hormel Microwavable Compleats Turkey and Dressing With Gravy entree is not geared towards healthy eating per se, but is good on those rare times you don’t feel like cooking or have run out of leftovers.

        I definitely recommend it.
