  • I decided I would buy him a toy so he would at least have something to play with while he was cooped up all weekend
  • He loves the toys that dangle and his absolute favorite is the cat dancer, which I’ve also written a review on and highly recommend to all cat owners
  • Best of all, the toy only cost $3 at Target and it’s held up well all weekend long even though he’s been biting and chewing on it
  • The feathers and corn husk are well secured to the toy and I believe I will get quite a bit of use out of it

I got the SmartyKat Feather Swirl cat toy as an impulse purchase. My fiance and I were about to lay down ceramic tile over the weekend and I knew I would have to put my cat in a spare bedroom so he would not get in the way or walk on the tile and get cat hair in the mortar or grout. I decided I would buy him a toy so he would at least have something to play with while he was cooped up all

      weekend.

The toy consists of a black plastic wand with feathers and dried out corn husks dangling from the end. The crunching sound of the husks is supposed to attract the a cat to it and the feathers entice them to play. At first he was scared of it, probably because of the crunchy noise the corn husks made, but once he realized it was only a noise he really got into playing with the toy. He loves the toys that dangle and his absolute favorite is the cat dancer, which I’ve also written a review on and highly recommend to all cat owners. This product is much the same. He loves to jump up in the air and try to catch the feathers and he’ll bite at the corn husks. He loves to hide under the bed and pounce on the toy as if he were in the jungle catching prey.

I’m very glad I made the purchase. Not only did it decrease his boredom but it was also a great ...

interactive toy. He can pounce on it and play with himself or I can drag it across the floor or hold it up in the air for him to jump at. Best of all, he gets some much needed exercise throughout the day. He’s still a relatively young cat and he needs to get his energy out, otherwise he ends up trying to play with my senior cat and she never is in the mood. He ends up harassing her or biting her, but by using
this toy he gets all the energy out of his system and leaves the senior cat alone.

Best of all, the toy only cost $3 at Target and it’s held up well all weekend long even though he’s been biting and chewing on it. The feathers and corn husk are well secured to the toy and I believe I will get quite a bit of use out of it. I recommend this toy to all cat owners with cats who love to stalk and jump at dangling toys.
