This is an Australian production filmed in the famous Mykonos island, in Greece. As long as you do not form high expectations about it in advance you might have some fun with it. The plot itself is not a big deal.

An Aussie of Greek origin inherits a big deal of fortune from some Greek relative who just passed away and he has to go to Mykonos to claim it. He will go there with his best friend and all the fun will start soon while he starts discovering that

he is not as Greek as he thought.

The locals do not really accept him and he will have to struggle to find a way to cope with bureaucracy. He will also find out that his real father is not the one he thought but the relative who passed away.

He falls in love with a Greek singer which happened to be related to his “enemy” and this adds extra adventure to the whole story. In the meantime, his friend engaged into some kind of competition with the “King of ...

      • Mykonos” (Kevin Sorbo) and he is struggling to manage the “Miss Italy” girl that nobody managed to approach before in order to win over the crown.

The end of the movie will find him with a new family, a Greek girlfriend and the fortune of his father. Overall, the plot does not say a lot, the cast is pretty cool though and there are some funny moments.

The most surreal fun comes from the two German scientists that running around the goat that Nick G. inherited from his father and

their findings will help the plot in the end.

There are quite some stereotypes regarding both Greeks and Aussies that do not really hold, so if you are familiar with both or either of these cultures you might get a bit…skeptical. For me the strongest point of this movie is the scenery itself.

Mykonos is a beautiful island and there are quite some awesome views of it. In general, I feel that this movie is good if you wanna spend some carefree afternoon with a light movie, which won’t make you think at all.
