  • What I like is that you can order any of their amazing burgers as a homemade veggie patty or with grilled organic chicken
  • The burgers are delicious and just kind of crumble in your mouth, and they have a lot of different options
  • I always recommend this to friends who visit Savannah

Green Truck is one of Savannah’s hottest “new” restaurants, and carnivores and veggies will delight in their fantastic selection of local, homemade foods and fantastic beer selection.

Located far outside of the historic downtown district, only a few blocks away from Victory Drive and the Ardsley Park district, so it’s a bit out of the way for most who are simply visiting Savannah. It’s on the edge of the Victorian District across from Al Salaam Deli, and unlike many places downtown, they actually have a parking lot! Even if you can’t find a spot in the lot, there are plenty of unmetered parking spots around only a short walk away. The neighborhood looks a bit rundown, but it’s generally filled with college students.

The restaurant itself is quite small which is why the wait time is typically quite long. If you don’t like waiting to be seated, this may not be the

place for you - otherwise, you should try and get to the restaurant right when it opens because it generally stays busy the entire day. There isn’t much room inside to wait, either: a few chairs and a small space located between the host stand and the bathrooms. It makes it uncomfortable to wait on the hottest days as well as in the winter because the only place to wait is outside. However, the wait is really the only negative I can find with this place.

The menu itself is pretty simple and very fresh. They pride themselves on grass-fed burgers and homemade, well, everything, even down to the ketchup and pickles! • lot of different options. My favorite is a toss-up between the Rustico (with goat cheese, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and basil) or the El Jefe (with cheddar, black bean, corn salsa, avocado and jalapenos.) The salads are absolutely fantastic - and huge! The El Camino is my favorite; it’s kind of like the El Jefe burger in salad form. If you don’t think veggies are enough, you can top it with a burger, veggie patty or chicken, too! They also make some fantastic french fries with homemade ketchup and a delicious pimento cheese plate. The prices for sandwiches, burgers and salads are typically $10 and under, but if you change up your sides (a side salad or soup is $2 more than getting fries) or add meat to your salad, the price goes up. The appetizers are around $5, so it’s a relatively affordable - and very filling -
        meal.

The menu doesn’t really change much, but they do offer specials that your server will tell you about. You can check out their beer list, menu and news updates at their website: http://greentruckpub.com/ The website is pretty easy to navigate - its in blog format for the most part.

I’ve always had pretty friendly service here, and considering how busy they get, the servers are surprisingly attentive. It does take a little longer than some restaurants to get your food because everything is freshly prepared, so you might want to order a simple appetizer if you’re really hungry. One word of warning: this place is only open Tuesday-Saturday, so be sure to schedule your visit appropriately.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a tasty, freshly-prepared salad or veggie burger. The menu is simple and delicious, and the service is friendly. I always recommend this to friends who visit Savannah.
