  • I adore the experience of lying in this lemon scented bath as although it's one developed to be refreshing, the lemon scent is actually very relaxing
  • After getting out of the bath I do feel refreshed, and for this reason I'd recommend using the Lemon Bath Oil for a morning bath instead of before going to bed
  • I like to use a lemon body butter afterwards as this keeps up the stunning lemony fragrance on my skin, although the bath oil scent doesn't really linger for long using an equally citrus smelling moisturiser does bring out the aroma for slightly longer

The Dr Hauschka Lemon Bath Oil is a small 150ml bottle of lemon scented oil; designed to be refreshing to your body and mind, it not only works beautifully but also smells delicious.  To use you simply add 1 - 2 teaspoons to your bath water then lie back and relax.

The smell is absolutely beautiful, you can’t smell the underlying oil at all only a sweet and rich lemon fragrance which travels around the bathroom on the steam. The key when using this bath oil is to close the bathroom door tightly to ensure that none of the scent or effects are lost, as you inhale the lemon fragrance it will revitalise

you and leave you feeling wide awake.

The oil mixes immediately into the water, all you need to do is swish the water with your hand to combine the oil and water ready for your bath. I adore the experience of lying in this lemon scented bath as although it’s one developed to be refreshing, the lemon scent is actually very relaxing. It doesn’t leave the water feeling greasy,  although it seems to soften the water slightly in a way that none of the other Dr Hauschka oils do.

      • bath instead of before going to bed. I actually did bathe at night with it recently and it took me longer than usual to get to sleep, something that I can only blame on the oil as I rarely have problems sleeping. The effect it has is to make my thoughts seem clearer, this makes it harder to unwind - which is great in the day but not such good news at night!

There are no actual skin benefits to using this bath oil, my skin doesn’t feel moisturised or smoother after use and I have to use my regular body butter for moisturisation when I’ve dried myself off. I like to use a

lemon body butter afterwards as this keeps up the stunning lemony fragrance on my skin, although the bath oil scent doesn’t really linger for long using an equally citrus smelling moisturiser does bring out the aroma for slightly longer.

I’ve also used this bath oil in smaller quantities to create a compress when the weather is hot. Lemon is naturally very cooling, so wetting a flannel and adding a few drops before pressing the compress against your skin for a few seconds is extremely refreshing and cooling.

Despite the rather high $27 price tag I completely recommend this Lemon Bath Oil to anyone who is looking for something to refresh and revitalise their body and mind.
