Midnight in Paris is a romantic comedy written and directed by Woody Allen. He is a very controversial character that has given us many motion pictures, some good ones but also some really odd. I never know what to expect from Woody Allen but I try to watch every movie he is involved with. That’s the case for Midnight in Paris.

It is a story of a young couple engaged to be married, Gil and Inez, which are with the bride’s parents on a business trip

at Paris. Gil is a screenwriter at Hollywood but he is in love with Paris and wants to move there after the wedding. Inez is not convinced at all as she wants to live in Palm Beach. During their stay something happens that changes their relationship. It may be Gil’s mysterious midnight walks or the fact that Inez seems to like more the company of another man, Paul, than Gils.

Midnight in Paris is a great movie. It stars Owen Wilson as Gil, Rachel Adams as ...

      • Inez and Michael Sheen as Paul, among many other great actors. It is a real funny story and as simple as the plot may be it is pretty amazing and original, that’s why Woody Allen won the Oscar for Best Writing. At midnight the 2010’s Paris turns to be the one from 1920’s and Gil gets to know important artists such as Ernest Hemingway, Cole Porter, Pablo Picasso, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and even Salvador Dali.

I found this to be one of the best

movies I saw in 2011. The script is real entertaining and kind of weird with those time travels between these days and the ones from the 20’s. I’ve been trying not to reveal any important detail from the plot so if you want to know how good Midnight in Paris is you have to watch it yourself. If you trust my word then believe me: you have to watch it yourself! And de aware of Dali’s scene, simply brilliant, that’s what comedy stands for.

        Midnight in Paris, simply awesome.
