“Dragon Avenger” is a sequel to “Dragon Champion,” a story of a young dragon Auron who is left to survive on his own after a bunch of dwarfs invaded his family’s cave. Book 2 begins with the same dwarf attack in which Auron’s mother is killed and he

      she becomes strong enough.

This might sound like a vengeance story, and in a way it is; but vengeance is not the story’s only message, which I personally appreciate.

In the end, Wistala’s quest turns into a rescue mission to save the whole realm.

character of Rainfall, his kindness is another positive element of the story.

He genuinely cares for Wistala and helps her in many ways.

Battles and deaths might be a little hard for younger readers, but they are a part of fantasy as a genre and a part of life, too.
