  • I found it at Nordstrom and paid about fifteen dollars for it
  • I love the Mario Badescu line in general so I had very high expectations for this product
  • Again, that problem has a very simple solution – adding moisturizer after I cleanse
  • I mentioned earlier that this was drying and though it feels kind of annoying, it is nice to see this dry out my pimples because I know that they will go away
  • I do recommend this to anyone who does not mind a cleanser that is slightly intense but very effective

I recently purchased the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. I found it at Nordstrom and paid about fifteen dollars for it. Though more expensive than a drugstore cleanser, this is a higher end product. I love the Mario Badescu line in general so I had very high expectations for this product. Though there are many things about this cleanser that I did like, I am going to start off discussing the cons. First off, this cleanser is intense enough that it makes my skin slightly more sensitive to the sun after using it. That is not such a bad thing but it does mean that I have to make absolute sure that I use something containing SPF after I have washed my face with this cleanser. Another thing

that I really dislike is how drying this cleanser can be. Again, that problem has a very simple solution – adding moisturizer after I cleanse. However, if you are someone who already has dry skin to begin with, you might want to stay away from this cleanser because it may exacerbate the dryness of your skin and cause irritation. I just wanted to mention this because this cleanser does make my skin feel noticeably more tight and dry.

Despite all of the things that I just mentioned, I do really like this cleanser for several reasons. To start with, it takes off all of my makeup incredibly easily and quickly. I do not have to go back and scrub at my skin over and over again. It removes all ...

      • of my foundation, powder, etc. the first time around with minimal effort on my part. In that way, it doubles as a makeup remover and cleanser. Another thing to love is how well this cleans my skin and how clear it keeps my skin. I have acne prone, oily skin and this cleanser helps to keep it in check. It really helps me to attack all of the annoying blackheads and pimples that pop up on my face. I have recently had some issues with really terrible cystic acne. This cleanser is acid based and pretty strong so it is not kind to pimples at all. It really does get rid of all the really deep acne on my cheeks and chin area. I mentioned earlier that this
was drying and though it feels kind of annoying, it is nice to see this dry out my pimples because I know that they will go away.

Overall, I have to give the Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser a rating of an 8 out of 10. It has some cons but overall is very good at getting rid of my acne and keeping my skin feeling clean and looking clear. It also doubles as a fantastic makeup remover. I do recommend this to anyone who does not mind a cleanser that is slightly intense but very effective. For anyone with sensitive skin, I would suggest just trying a small sample of this cleanser first to see if you like it and to also make sure that it does not irritate your skin.
