  • I've always loved Converse shoes and boots having owned several pairs of the suede or leather skate shoes and too many to count versions of the canvas shoes over the years but my favorites at the moment are definitely the All Star baseball style boots
  • One of the things I love about these boots is they seem to appeal to a huge range of people You will see everyone from sports stars to rock music stars wearing these and in the street everyone from the punk/rock/alternative scene to the trendy fashion types seems to be wearing them
  • There is a huge choice of shoes you can customise and prices start from £54 for canvas shoes through to £75 for leather boots or £78 for the XX knee high boots I think the prices are pretty good compared to some other design your own sites as they don't cost that much more than buying a pair of the shelf at full price
  • I'd happily recommend these boots they look great, will last for ages and with the huge range of colours and styles available there's something to suit everyone

I’ve always loved Converse shoes and boots having owned several pairs of the suede or leather skate shoes and too many to count versions of the canvas shoes over the years but my favorites at the moment are definitely the All Star baseball style boots.

I can remember having these shoes as a kid although these days there’s a lot more choice of colours and fabrics available and with prices ranging from around £30 for a basic pair up to around £60 they certainly aren’t the cheap summer shoes they were back then.

One of the things I love about these boots is they seem to appeal to a huge range of people You will see everyone from sports stars to rock music stars wearing these and in the street everyone from the punk/rock/alternative scene to the trendy fashion

types seems to be wearing them. The range is so diverse you don’t have to look like everyone else as there are so many options to choose from.

The boots are very basic in construction just a lace up canvas upper with the well known circular Converse All Star logo and a thin rubber sole with a white or black rubber toecap and a striped rubber sidewall joining the sole to the boot. Although they are basic I find them extremely comfortable to wear for general use and I wear mine most of the time except for when I have to look smart for work. Although the thin soles are comfortable they aren’t really cushioned enough for sports use such as trips to the gym or running but they are good for wearing on a bike and I often ...

      • use them when I’m riding my bike or longboard.

In the past I’ve owned several colours of these but this time I went for a relatively plain black pair. These are black canvas with with a black toe cap and black rubber sidewall with red racing stripe with white laces and stitching. I usually find a pair of these boots will last me around a year in regular use although obviously some pairs get worn more than others.

One of the things I love about these is although it’s not recommended you can chuck them in the washing machine which is handy with some of the lighter colours which can get really grubby. It’s best to wrap then in a sheet or something to prevent them banging off the inside of your machine and keep them on a

low heat but it will clean them up nicely if you can’t be bothered to hand wash them.

I recently discovered that Converse also have an area on their website where you can design any of their shoes in your choice of colours or patterns and have them made for you. There is a huge choice of shoes you can customise and prices start from £54 for canvas shoes through to £75 for leather boots or £78 for the XX knee high boots I think the prices are pretty good compared to some other design your own sites as they don’t cost that much more than buying a pair of the shelf at full price.

I’d happily recommend these boots they look great, will last for ages and with the huge range of colours and styles available there’s something to suit everyone.
