At Home In Mitford is a novel by Jan Karon. It is centered around the local Rector Timothy. He lives in a small town where many things happen.

This old Rector finds himselve with a huge dog, a twelve year old boy,

and a girlfriend. The novel often refrences scripture.

I found the scripture to be inspiring and thought provoking. The other charecters in the town are also noteworthy.

It seems that every character was someone I knew from somewhere in my own town. The story ...

      • is simply making it relatable.

When I began this novel It moved along at a snails pace. However, this slow aproach enabled me to get acquanted with the charecters in this small town.

I grew to love and care about each one.

Before long I was more than halfway throught the book.

The next thing I knew I was on Amazon ordering the next book in the series. I am glad I trudged through the begining.

I encourage anyone else reading this novel to do the same.
