  • For listeners who typically haven’t enjoyed the sound of Sledding With Tigers which is basically characterized by a chorus of voices singing in a slightly off synchronicity, you should probably stay away from 5432Fun
  • Although a simple technique, I believe this is new for 5432Fun and I’m glad to see that the band is embracing new things on each track which is certainly an optimistic sign for me

5432Fun is a song by Sledding With Tigers and the third track to appear on their second release, The Hill Sheep. Opening up with the familiar chorus of vocals which has become characteristic to the sound of Sledding With Tigers, 5432Fun quickly transitions into a section which is surprisingly led by a violin lead which shows that the violin thankfully wasn’t a one-time occurrence to be present only on Plans.

      Particularly simple lyrically,

5432Fun returns to the band to slightly relying quite a bit on the actual vocal performance.

For listeners who typically haven’t enjoyed the sound of Sledding With Tigers which is basically characterized by a chorus of voices singing in a slightly off synchronicity, you should probably stay away from 5432Fun.

Despite these similarities in sound to many of the other tracks on 5432Fun, I still think that it has some strengths about it.

      For ...

      • one, as I already said, I’m quite pleased that the violin was included in this track and also has a very prominent, albeit simple, role in the track.

Another positive aspect of this song is that the band take advantage of several vocals not simply by their traditional utilization of a chorus of voices, but they also embrace the tactic of a lead voice singing over a rhythm vocal pattern which comes in

at around a minute and ten seconds into the track.

Although a simple technique, I believe this is new for 5432Fun and I’m glad to see that the band is embracing new things on each track which is certainly an optimistic sign for me.

Overall, 5432Fun may have the traditional sound of the band, but the vocal melody is catchy to say the least and this is one of the group’s more accessible songs.
