  • Love Songs Are Dumb Songs, But I Like ‘Em Anyway is a song by Sledding With Tigers and appears as the fourth song on their debut album, No Randy No
  • However, if you found that you enjoyed the chorus of voices that Sledding With Tigers often utilize, as I personally do, then don’t worry because the band embraces this tactic once again throughout the choruses of this track and it works quite nicely
  • Whereas some of the preceding tracks on this record certainly thrived on energy, I think it’s a fair statement to say that this track thrives more on its actual songwriting
  • I will say that although this song may not be the best representation of the general sound that Sledding With Tigers had on this record, it certainly proves that they can do far more than just energy-absorbing songs like The 405 (Is For Lovers
  • Because of this, I would recommend starting with some of the other songs on this album first, but definitely making sure to make a point to come back to this song at some point

Love Songs Are Dumb Songs, But I Like ‘Em Anyway is a song by Sledding With Tigers and appears as the fourth song on their debut album, No Randy No. In contrast to preceding songs on this record, Love Songs Are Dumb Songs, But I Like ‘Em Anyway actually opens with just the lead vocals on the

track which take on a far more melodic tone in comparison to other songs thus far.

However, if you found that you enjoyed the chorus of voices that Sledding With Tigers often utilize, as I personally do, then don’t worry because the band embraces this tactic once again throughout the choruses of this track and it works quite nicely.

One of the reasons why I like this track is that it demonstrates a slightly more developed sound and it seems to take a more mature approach to the songwriting.

Whereas some of the preceding tracks on this record certainly thrived on energy, I think it’s a fair statement to say that this track thrives ...

      more on its actual songwriting.

Overall, I see this incredibly optimistically and to hear a song like this on a debut record certainly makes me hopeful for where the band would go in the future.

I will say that although this song may not be the best representation of the general sound that Sledding With Tigers had on

this record, it certainly proves that they can do far more than just energy-absorbing songs like The 405 (Is For Lovers?) or the preceding song.

Because of this, I would recommend starting with some of the other songs on this album first, but definitely making sure to make a point to come back to this song at some point.
