The ink seems to have dried out owing to it being unused for months. If it is completely dry, you can do little to make it work again.

You should try some steps and see whether your pen writes again or not.

The first is to shake the pen vigorously. That may create stir in the ink making it flow.
The second is to write violently on a piece of paper. You may find that after uneven writing, it starts to write properly. It works in majority of cases.
The third is to write on a rubber surface. This is the last step and works if the ink is almost dry, but can still be used.

re : Many may argue that the price of the pen states its quailty, but to me it is only a number that states affordability
The price of a pen doesn t matter at all. People buy pens that are affordable, and most of the time they end up lasting way longer than the overpriced ones. If you re going to sell an average ballpoint pen for $ 10 whereas there s pens on sale for $ 0.50 you best bet i m going to buy the cheap ones. It s quality over quantity all the way.
