I so loved Dexter Season 6 episode 7 titled “Nebraska”. As his dear friend Brother Sam passed on, Dexter (Michael C Hall) has seemed to lost the light that he found. This time, his Dark Passenger, in the form of his late brother (The Ice Truck Killer) is back to haunt him and be his devil’s advocate into going back and losing his faith. This time, there is news that the Trinity Killer (from the earlier season, played beautifully by John Lithgow!) is back and has killed his wife and daughter. Dexter wonders who could have done this when he himself has killed the Trinity Killer (who also killed Dexter’s wife, Rita in the previous seasons). And as the madness goes on, the haunt for the Doomsday Killer

continues. Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter), Miami Metro’s newbie Lieutenant and Dexter’s sister has given her ex, Quinn (Desmond Harrington), proper closure on their relationship. The Doomsday Killer/Prof James Kellar (Edward James Olmos) and his apprentice, Travis Marshall (played by Colin Hanks) are still determined to finish what they have started, but it seems that Travis is starting to hate what he is doing and wants to get out of this sticky situation.

I loved it when Dexter went all the way to Nebraska just to confirm his doubts about the Trinity Killer’s son, Jonah (Brandon Eaton). He travels all along with the Dark Passenger on his side, which is his brother, who is his alter ego; his Id, if I may say. This role was played very well by Christian ...

      • Camargo, who played Brian in the first season of Dexter as his half-brother who was (SPOILER ALERT!) the Ice Truck Killer. When Dexter confronts Jonah, he develops a connection to him and finds out that he was the one who killed his family and now it is up to Dexter if he is willing to ride again with his Dark Passenger or to go back and follow the light (his father).

I will not spoil what happens further, but I loved how Michael C Hall acts and how his stare can make you really think that he is thinking about something dark. He can suddenly shift his mood into an ‘i-am-dextermorgan-I-am-just-a-nobody’ into ‘meet-Dexter-the-killer’. When he turns into the latter, he becomes wild and become happy-go-lucky as the person we met

in the first Season; driving fast, shooting a gun out of a whim and having sex with random women. I happen to enjoy the darkness of this series because as a vigilante, Dexter does this for the greater good and with a strict “Code” to follow, and not just kill anyone he pleases. Colin Hanks is a nice addition to the cast because he fits well to the personality of the apprentice Travis Marshall and his looks really fit the preppy type.

I cannot wait to see the next Dexter episode where Dexter meets Travis and how they both meet the Doomsday Killer! It will only be 5 more episodes before the season is over and I suggest that you guys try watching Dexter. You will be hooked as I was!
