I just saw the movie the Hangover 2. It is the sequel to the first movie, The Hangover, which stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. Essentially this movie is about a Bachelor’s party in Thailand gone wrong. As with the last Hangover movie, this time, the Dentist Stu (Ed Helms) is now getting married to a decent Thai woman and has flown all the way to a Thai resort for his wedding. Of course, he couldn’t be much happier without the company of his friends: Phil (Bradley Cooper), Doug (Justin Bartha), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and his future brother-in-law Teddy(Mason

Lee). Alan has weird grudges against Teddy because he isn’t part of the ‘wolf’ pack, the original group of friends they have so he takes matters into his own hands and ends up with another disaster. The guys have a bachelor’s marshmallow get-together on a bonfire in the beach and later wakes up in a filthy hotel room, not remembering what happened the night before.

Watching this Hangover sequel is even better, because the boys are in a different country and end up in weird situations again. It is quite funny that all the original cast are there, especially the character who plays Chow (Ken ...

      • Jeong ) and Alan (Galifianakis). This movie is really for guys, as what my husband would say. There are much sexual depictions, lewd language and gratuitous drug use, so please do not watch this with kids around. In my opinion though, the first Hangover was better and funnier than this one. For some reason the story revolved on the adventures of Chow which all started the ruckus in this movie. However, if it weren’t for Chow, it would be less funny. I loved how he played his role as the crazy Asian guy who is now BFF’s with their equally crazy and neurotic bearded friend,

Hangover 2 is still funny and delivers much fun as the first one. Again this is a great comedy and targeted more on boys because the jokes are really so much for guys than for girls. The cast is great, especially Chow and Alan, and they really added a lot of pizzazz in this film. The soundtrack is alright; not too much excitement there for me. If you like bachelor’s night themed films, this is a good choice for those beer nights with the boys. Ladies will like this too because I happened to like it, but my husband was more excited than I was.
