Lauren Kate really out did herself with this third installment in her book series Fallen. Passion is the third book in the series, Fallen is the first and Torment is the second.

I’ll admit the first two books kind of annoyed me. The heroine Luce (Lucinda Price) reminds me of another Bella kind of. She acts like a damsel and whines a bit to her fallen angel of a boyfriend Daniel. Luce and Daniel have been lovers throughout time. Though they can never fully be together because she has

a curse. Every time they would touch, or kiss in their past lives Luce would explode in fire.

Now in this book she is off to go to all of her past lives to find out why she is cursed and how to break it so her and Daniel can be together. Luce jumps into an announcer at the end of Torment (2nd book) so she can travel back in time. She goes to about 7 different past lives. All of her past selves look like her, yet have ...

      • different names all starting with L though. Along the way she met this gargoyle/ guide/ angel named Bill. He escorts her along her past lives and helps her.

Daniel went after Luce into the announcers to stop her. The whole time Daniel knows why she is cursed. We the readers find out what the curse is when he goes all the way back to Heaven when the angels sided against God and the fall started. It turns out that Bill isn’t who he says he is and deceives Luce.

Her and Daniel reunite but have another problem looming for them in the next book Rapture, that has to do with Bill.

So I told you some of the things that happened but I didn’t want to give away to many *spoilers* in the words of River Song ( Doctor Who ). If you have read Fallen and Torment then go read Passion. BUT if you are new to the series then go get Fallen. The first two aren’t as good as the third Passion but the wait is worth it.
