  • Opening up with a simple acoustic guitar strumming pattern, the band establishes a very laidback and mellow atmosphere before the vocals come in and sing with a fairly gentle delivery, something I definitely can’t say about most Andrew Jackson Jihad vocal performances
  • I will admit that after my listen through this track, I wasn’t very impressed with it and basically just moved on, but after returning and paying a finer attention to detail I think that Andrew Jackson Jihad could’ve been onto something pretty good here
  • I say that they could have been onto something good here because the track is unfortunately very short and the song comes to its close before the vocal harmony really gets a chance to take off at the end of the track
  • Though the track may not leave a big impression on you the first time around, I would at least encourage a listener to give the song a few listens before dismissing it because I think that although the sound is different, it’s good nonetheless

If You Have Love In Your Heart is a song by Andrew Jackson Jihad and is the eighth song on the record. Opening up with a simple acoustic guitar strumming pattern, the band establishes a very laidback and mellow atmosphere before the vocals come in and sing with a fairly gentle delivery, something I definitely can’t say about most Andrew Jackson Jihad vocal performances. Another thing to note on this track is that the

band also utilizes vocal harmonies which is yet another technique that isn’t typically employed in their music so I’m glad that they’ve been trying out several different techniques throughout this album and spreading them out on songs where they feel appropriate. I will admit that after my listen through this track, I wasn’t very impressed with it and basically just moved on, but after returning and paying a finer attention to detail I think ...

      • that Andrew Jackson Jihad could’ve been onto something pretty good here.

I say that they could have been onto something good here because the track is unfortunately very short and the song comes to its close before the vocal harmony really gets a chance to take off at the end of the track. Although the sound throughout this song is significantly different than most of the work Andrew Jackson Jihad has done both on this

record and in their overall career, I still think that they had a nice tone and the largest flaw of the track was that they unfortunately weren’t able to develop it any further. Though the track may not leave a big impression on you the first time around, I would at least encourage a listener to give the song a few listens before dismissing it because I think that although the sound is different, it’s good nonetheless.
