  • As the opening rhythm comes in, Eminem does a good job of utilizing both a rhythm vocal track and a lead vocal song throughout the very start in the song but unfortunately doesn’t continue utilizing this throughout the first verse
  • On second thought, since Eminem does really pick up his delivery here, the rhythm vocals of the track may have just slowed down his delivery so this move was probably for the best
  • To characterize his delivery, I wouldn’t say he’s quite as aggressive as he would go on to sound on later records, but his flow on the track is undeniably there and this is definitely a song to look into

As The World Turns is a song by Eminem which appears on his album The Slim Shady LP. As the opening rhythm comes in, Eminem does a good job of utilizing both a rhythm vocal track and a lead vocal song throughout the very start in the song but unfortunately doesn’t continue utilizing this throughout the first verse.

On second thought, since Eminem does really pick up his delivery here, the rhythm vocals of the track may have just slowed

down his delivery so this move was probably for the best.

While going into the chorus, Eminem does return to the rhythm and lead vocal tracks which is a nice contrast for several reasons including that the verse is fairly slow and laidback in delivery while Eminem gets pretty aggressive during some parts of the verse.

Something I should mention about this track is that the verses on the song do feel slightly longer than the typical verse from Eminem.

      ...

      • Though I personally enjoy his delivery throughout the track, some listeners may find his verses go on for too long to hold his attention.

As a point of reference for just how long these songs are, the track goes on for a bit over four minutes and Eminem is only able to get through two verses and two choruses.

Wasting no space in the intro to set up a rhythm and also having a very short chorus, this should give

you an idea just of how long the verses do go on for.

Despite this, I must praise Eminem for really not letting up with his vocal delivery and performance and he continues to sound fluid from the start to finish of this track.

To characterize his delivery, I wouldn’t say he’s quite as aggressive as he would go on to sound on later records, but his flow on the track is undeniably there and this is definitely a song to look into.
