  • The best way I could differentiate between the two aforementioned tracks is that Hallowed Be Thy Named is miles ahead of Children Of The Damned, and Children Of The Damned is one of my favorite songs by Iron Maiden
  • In my opinion, everything about the songwriting throughout Hallowed Be Thy Name was just done perfectly
  • Overall, if there’s one track from this album that I would recommend you listen to, Hallowed Be Thy Name would be that track

Hallowed Be Thy Name is a song by Iron Maiden which appears as the final track on The Number Of The Beast. Opening up with Bruce Dickinson singing along with pretty minimal instrumentation behind him, the song certainly establishes a fairly eerie atmosphere and the sense that something pretty big is about to come.

Thankfully, the band does not disappoint here and the harmonizing guitar work of Iron Maiden soon kicks in and a definitive rhythm is established for this track.

      Though

I wouldn’t exactly label this song as being a ballad, I would say that this album did have a similar track which was Children Of The Damned in that each had a sound which wasn’t really typical of Iron Maiden and had far more of an epic feel to them.

The best way I could differentiate between the two aforementioned tracks is that Hallowed Be Thy Named is miles ahead of Children Of The Damned, and Children Of The Damned is one ...

      • of my favorite songs by Iron Maiden.

In my opinion, everything about the songwriting throughout Hallowed Be Thy Name was just done perfectly.

The song features the ominous and brooding introduction, the heavy bulk of the song which features the traditional sound of Iron Maiden, free vocal sections which allow Dickinson’s operatic delivery to soar, and extended instrumental passages which really treats a listener to the musicianship behind this band.

I must say that if you somehow find that you do not

enjoy this track, I would say that there’s very little to no hope for you to actually like Iron Maiden because everything that made this band great is really demonstrate on this track.

Though the length may be slightly long for some listeners, the band is constantly going through different sections of this track and it feels anything but repetitive.

Overall, if there’s one track from this album that I would recommend you listen to, Hallowed Be Thy Name would be that track.
