For as long as I’ve had a computer, I’ve had a reliable printer. I have been fortunate enough to have it this way…until I purchased an HP Deskjet Printer model F340.

This printer is an All-in-One, containing a printer, scanner, and copier.

The minute I installed this printer, I had trouble with it: paper jams constantly, error messages, and slow printing.

More often than not, this printer doesn’t even print! Sometimes I’ll be able to print one job, and then I’ll have to unplug everything in order to ...

be able to print something else.

      It’s ridiculous.

There is always something wrong with it.

The scanner and copier work fine.

      The problem is getting them

      to print.

The photographic programs that come with it are just as confusing.

If you want a good printer, definitely try a different brand! Do not buy an HP.

Printer HP Deskjet F340 All in one. Having it for about 2 years. Suddenly does not want to accept envelopes. Reason - jam Suddenly jams even the letter paper Suddenly does not want to print - ignores a print command Possible reason The color cartridge is low. If this is relly the reason, obviously I will buy a new one, but I hesitate as I had another HP printer before with similar problems, I spent money on black and color cartridges, it did not help, and then I threw out both the cartridges and printer. Any explanation and or help?

Jules Li says :

Loosen up the paper to see if it continues to jam. If it continues put in one sheet at a time to see if it continues. Also, make sure that the slider is set to the proper size for the paper of envelope that you’re using. If it’s not it can cause the paper to go in at an angle, which can result in paper jams.

Galega says :

That is not as such a big problem. You don’t need to stop using both printers and throwing out cartridges in frustration. Some problems can always happen with any technical equipment, and this HP printer is no exception. Your printer has problem of consistent jammed pages. You should go ahead with following steps and see if it solves the problem:

Take a look at the screen on your copier it will show you the location of the jam and where to open and access it.
Turn your copier off before trying to remove the paper.
Gently grab the paper and pull it in the opposite direction it has been fed into the copier. …
Look for paper fragments. Remove any and start your printer again.

If problem persists, then just take your printer to a nearby HP service center. A service engineer will troubleshoot it within ten minutes.
