  • Easy-A is a teen-comedy that I found mildly interesting to watch, and only because it was aimed at my particular age group
  • Not the best storyline by any means and, like I say, if these rumours were about anything other than sex then this film wouldn’t even get a look in
  • I think the general acting was quite good, aside from Stone her supporting cast involved several good actors playing teachers, fellow students and her family

Easy-A is a teen-comedy that I found mildly interesting to watch, and only because it was aimed at my particular age group.

It’s very easy-to-watch and has a lot of teenage humour that can keep the interest, but of course without the topic of sex this wouldn’t really be worth a watch.

Emma Stone does a decent job

in the second film I’ve seen her in now, playing an alleged “high school slut” who uses rumours to get attention.

Not the best storyline by any means and, like I say, if these rumours were about anything other than sex then this film wouldn’t even get a look in.

None-the-less, it is about sex (or lack off) and anyone between the ages of 16-25 will find it watchable, particularly males.

I think the general acting was quite good, aside from Stone her supporting cast involved several good actors playing teachers, fellow students and her family.

There were also a couple of quite interesting characters apart from Olive (Stone), including her school councillor played by Lisa ...

      Kudrow.

A number of plot turns throughout the film sometimes make you question where the film is going, which for me is the sign of a weak script. It’s certainly not the writing that makes this film worth seeing but it is a comedy and does have its moments.

The directing sums up the entire film really; ok.

Not great, not even very good but not particularly bad either. Something easy to watch that a particular audience will enjoy once but probably not watch again.

In the teen comedy genre it certainly doesn’t match up to the likes of American Pie, but give it a shot if you’re like me, a 20-something male, and you might be surprised.
