  • They were all very friendly and genuinely seemed to be enjoying life (which is a nice change of pace from some of the people I have to deal with in convenient stores)
  • They have all the traditional sauces like Italian and the like if you want them, but I definitely prefer their usual combination of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and italian seasoning - I have actually started using this combination on my salads as well
  • Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quick and easy lunch away from the normal restaurant setting

Don’t be fooled by that Shell gas station in front of this building - there is actually a very good sub shop only a few steps away. I have been working in the Hagerstown area for two years and I am always looking for new and different places to eat. I really don’t like having to sit down in a restaurant and wait for my food all the time though. It takes too much time and I already spend most of my day inside - I would like more options than that. Well, one of my coworkers recommended

I try snacks, and I was already getting gas anyway so I popped in.

As soon as I walked in, both people behind the counter smiled and said hi. I ended up having a lively conversation with the guy behind the food counter while he made my sandwich. They were all very friendly and genuinely seemed to be enjoying life (which is a nice change of pace from some of the people I have to deal with in convenient stores). This helps the time pass while I’m waiting for my food too, especially since I usually get my sandwiches ...

      • toasted so it takes longer.

To be honest, I wasn’t expecting anything fantastic just because it was a convenient store. Most places like this that I have been to skimp on the meat or have bad bread or something. Not the case here. I had ordered a turkey sub with everything on it. Their bread is actually pretty good - it’s light and fluffy with a crunchy crust rather than spongy and old-tasting like bread I get at Sheetz. They also pile on the meat and veggies - it was so full they could barely close the sandwich. It

was a wonderful surprise for a hungry me. They have all the traditional sauces like Italian and the like if you want them, but I definitely prefer their usual combination of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and italian seasoning - I have actually started using this combination on my salads as well. From there I can take my sandwich, buys some drinks or whatever I want while I’m there, and head out to eat wherever I want to go. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quick and easy lunch away from the normal restaurant setting.
