On a recent weekend outing with a close friend, we decided to rent a Chevy Malibu. The car was beautiful–large, white, and plenty on room to spread out and be comfy. It had its pros, but the cons definitely outweighed them.
Mechanically speaking, the car was a wreck. Despite the fact that it was a 2011, it was having some problems. The transmission was horrid! When we were going 60 mph on I-25 (slightly uphill, but
nothing extraordinary), the transmission would pull. You could tell it was struggling to switch gears, like it couldn’t catch the gear. It was pretty bad on the interstate and highway, but it was even worse in the city. Going to stoplights was pretty uncomfortable. You could feel the car roughly shifting down both gears as it tried to keep itself running.
