The Hangover 2 is the sequel to the original Hangover and released in the summer of 2011. What I will say right away is that the original Hangover and this release are incredibly similar in many ways and the second film follows many of the patterns of the first film.

Regardless, this isn’t to say that the second film doesn’t have its moments or some very funny parts, but I will say that the overall

      story is pretty unoriginal.

I personally wouldn’t mind some subtle references to the first film, but the story here isn’t a subtle reference in anyway, it’s basically an explicit copy of it with a change of setting but very similar chain of events.

On a more positive note, I will say that the acting performances here are wonderful with the team of Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Bradley Cooper each giving very humorous performances as ...

      • they did in the first film.

Another thing I enjoyed about this movie is that Mr.

Chow, played by Ken Jeong has a few more parts in this film than in the original movie so I’m glad his character was given a bit more time on screen.

If you are a person who found yourself to enjoy the first film, which I’m sure a lot of people did, then you’d probably find some enjoyment in

the Hangover 2 as well, though it’s quite clear that the first film is the better of the two movies.

On the other hand, if you didn’t enjoy the first film then I highly doubt you’d enjoy this sequel because of how similar the two movies are to each other.

Unfortunately, the Hangover 2 seems to lack some of the great elements and an original story that the original Hangover had that allowed it to succeed.
