The Kodak PlayFull HD is a small hand held pocketable video camcorder. If you don’t like to use the Flip Video by Cisco, then you may want to consider the Kodak PlayFull HD. There aren’t a lot of pocket camcorders are the market so users don’t have a lot of choice. If you don’t want to read the whole review, but just what to know my preference then I will tell you right now. I personally prefer the Flip Video.

The Kodak PlayFull HD comes with 128 MB of internal memory. It can transfer files using the USB 2.0 connection or using HDMI. In order to transfer,

a software is required to successful transfer the videos from the Kodak PlayFull HD. This camcorder shoots at 5 MP quality and it comes with an SDHC slot for expanding the memory. The Kodak PlayFull HD is roughly the size of a cell phone. I would say that this Kodak PlayFull HD is slightly. As you know from the name, the Kodak PlayFull HD can shoot full HD at 1080 pixels.

I, personally, do not recommend this product at all. I feel that it is lacking some very important features including internal storage, battery life, and the screen size. To start off with, the internal storage ...

      • is very very small at only 128 MB. This internal storage gets filled up extremely fast. When you buy the Kodak PlayFull HD, you will need to shell out more money on top of the $100 dollars you pay for the camcorder. In order to capture videos, you will need to buy a SD card. This is not avoidable and is mandatory. This is the main reason I choose the Flip over the Kodak PlayFull HD. The Flip Video comes with 16 GB internal storage so you don’t need to shell out more money. Battery life also needs some work. The rechargeable battery life drains fairly
quickly. The battery lasts roughly three hours and then it fails on me. It isn’t very reliable. The small screen is the last drawback. The small screen makes it really hard to see what you are recording.

Overall, I would consider this as a do not buy! There isn’t any clear advantage of the Kodak PlayFull HD. There isn’t anything really special about the Kodak PlayFull HD. This camcorder is fairly cheap so it is great for amateurs to use. However, if you are a professional or mediocre photographer, then you should not buy it. Although, it offers HD recording, it has many drawbacks so I do not recommend it.
