The eMachine T5224 is your standard budget compputer. It includes what is now seen as the standard specification for a computer, dual core processor and 1GB memory with a nice big 250GB hard drive and 15 in 1 card reader.

It looks good as well, its crisp black look makes it look brilliantely under your desk, and it is aimed as an entry level PC with the new Windows Vista pre loaded so you don’t have all the hassle of having to update to the new

operating system, Windows Vista is the latest operating system in the Windows family, released in January 2007.

I have had dealings with eMachines before and they tend to be very well made and seem to last for a good 5 to 10 years, I still see Pentium 3 eMachine PC’s in peoples homes running perfectly well.

It is not all good though, onboard graphics running up to 224MB isn’t that great, so don’t expect to play many intense graphics card memory eating games, but it can ...

      • certainly handle the new Vista Aero interface.

It also isn’t that great for upgrading as it only offers up to 2GB RAM to be installed.

The computer comes with a 15 in 1 card reader as well which means you can easily get your pictures off your digital camera and onto your computer.

A 250GB hard drive allows you to store plenty of images, videos, and other files and a DVD rewriter means you can create you own DVD’s at ease with the new Windows DVD

Maker which is included in Vista.

It also uses Intel Viiv technology which makes the computer perfect for media use and with Windows Vista Home Premium pre installed, you can use the brand new Windows Vista Media Centre to watch your videos, recorded TV, live TV, look at your pictures and listen to your music.

Overall, it is the perfect budget computer for entry level or if you want to upgrade you current computer and with the advantages out weighing out the disadvantages, it is definately worth its $530 price tag.
