  • I buy the cherry flavor because I dislike the original so much
  • The cherry flavor, I wasn't too sure about because it is still the same color, only slightly darker and I thought it might be so subtle that it wouldn't mask that chalky flavor
  • I would recommend others to try this for stomach issues such as the ones mentioned above

Pepto Bismol seems to be a versatile medicine, and one that I have used since back when I was a child. I never cared for the chalky taste, though I did like the color when I was younger. It is a thick pink liquid that when swallowed, will coat your throat all the way down to your stomach, but it’s used for a variety of ailments.

I used it for various things like diarrhea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, and sour stomach. I’ve even used it for nausea but it only made me much more nauseous. I buy the cherry flavor because I dislike the original so much. The cherry flavor, I wasn’t too sure about because it is

still the same color, only slightly darker and I thought it might be so subtle that it wouldn’t mask that chalky flavor. No, it masks the chalky flavor a lot and makes taking this medicine a lot more bearable. I still do not care for the flavor, but the cherry-ness of this one trumps the original flavor, and I don;t have to count myself down and pump myself up before closing my eyes and then chugging it down. I can actually take measured doses without cringing. I do refrigerate it because I find it tastes better that way. I cannot tolerate the cherry at all if room temperature, but that’s one of my quirks.

      It is good ...

      • at a few illnesses and does nothing much for others I have used it for. for heartburn, it only slightly takes away the sting. I do feel a cooler sensation in my chest when using this, but it goes way after a few moments. I assume that is the refrigerated Cherry Pepto Bismol working it;s way down and the heartburn continues to rage once it has gone. It does not much at all for the gas in my stomach pushing that acid up. But, it’s decent for indigestion and seems to clear that up really quickly. It causes me to belch a bit and then I feel so much better. It also works great
for an upset or sour stomach. But, it does nothing for nausea or diarrhea, for me.

It’s easy to find and can be found at mass merchandisers, online, grocery stores, drug stores, and even dollar stores. Being that it’s sugar free, it’s a good product for me to use, having hypoglycemia. So, that’s one reason I keep buying it for my stomach issues, when I have them. The other is the obvious results I get for some of them. I would recommend others to try this for stomach issues such as the ones mentioned above. It’s better tasting in cherry than it is the original, and this is the one I would steer people to try.
